TJ "Scooter" Looper Memorial Sportsman Crate Showdown

Saturday, Jun 8 2013

Friends, Family & race fans of T.J. “Scooter Looper Jr. will convene on I-77 Speedway this Saturday Night June 8th, 2013 for the 2nd Annual memorial race in his honor. Last year this event drew seventeen sportsman crate cars in his memory and on Saturday we are expecting the same if not more as this race has generated popularity beyond what anyone could have imagined.

For those not familiar with and those that do not know him, Scooter was tragically killed in an automobile accident on January 24th, 2011. He was on his way to Lancaster High School from Great Falls where the family resided. Prior to his passing, he had just begun to get his feet wet in the racing world. He had always wanted to race, so his dad gave him that chance. After his passing, his dad T.J. Looper Sr. wanted to hold an event in his memory. After working diligently with the staff of I-77 Speedway, this event was added to the schedule in his memory as an annual event.

Everyone is asked to join us this Saturday Night to pay tribute to this wonderful young man and his family once again. Though, he is no longer with us, He will always be in the hearts and minds of us all.
